Softworks is excited to announce the SmartDocs™ add-on to JCalendar 2007. Consider the amount of time and effort wasted on duplicating information by manually re-entering case specific details into any case-related document.  With SmartDocs™ you can automatically populate any MS Word document with all case specific information based on the style of the case! SmartDocs™  will retrieve the associated case details from the clerk's database and its own data store and populate the entire document for you. Because SmartDocs™ provides bi-directional data support, all of the information changed in the Word document can be re-submitted into the JCalendar system, truly eliminating redundant data entry. SmartDocs™  can be used by the legal community as well, particularly in conjunction with JCourier® to automate their filing process...

Access annotated digital audio of your hearings with JCalendar ACR™

Softworks now provides annotated audio playback for any digitally recorded hearing scheduled with JCalendar.

This will allow any authenticated user of JCalendar, to access the annotated court audio record, as well as the text data pertaining to that specific hearing appointment.

JCourier™ Phase II (March 1st, 2007)

After an initial testing phase with a sub set of judges and a select group of law offices, JCourier® is now expanding its reach with more judges coming online to allow for digital filing of motions. In phase II JCourier® will extend its services to all users in the legal community registered with JCalendar to allow for electronic submittal of documents to the 13th Judicial Circuit in Tampa, Florida.

Bar Association Messaging

JCalendar v1.7 provides the local Bar Associations with the ability to disseminate messages to all of the Bar members through the JCalendar system. It provides them an easy and uniform way of delivering information to all of its members.

JCalendar® 6th Judicial Circuit Implementation

Softworks is currently working on timeframes for implementation of JCalendar v1.7 in the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida.  The implementation is slated to take place in over the coming months and should be fully functional by the 3rd quarter of 2007.  Users of JCalendar will be able to schedule with both the 13th and the 6th Circuit of Florida through one comprehensive portal.

Microsoft Outlook® Integration

Softworks is currently working on a new version of JCalendar®, version 2.0.  In the up-coming months you will receive more information about the new functionality in version 2.0 which will contain an Outlook add-in that will allow the users to access all of the JCalendar functionality through Outlook®.  We will be providing a preview of this functionality at the Florida Bar conference in Miami in January.
